Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 17, 2026

This policy describes how 4Sigma Home Renovation (4Sigma) handles information through 4sigma.us and our business communications, including the 4Sigma Home Renovations Facebook Page, @4sigma_home_renovation on Instagram, and the 4Sigma Hermes Business integration.

Who we are

4Sigma Home Renovation operates this website at https://4sigma.us.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select "Remember Me", your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where your data is sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Business inquiries and social media

When you contact us, request a consultation, or interact with our business accounts, we may receive your name, contact details, project information, social media username or platform identifier, messages, comments, and any photos or other content you choose to provide. We use this information to respond to inquiries, arrange consultations, provide customer support, and manage our renovation business.

Our authorized Facebook and Instagram integration can access business account details, posts and media, comments, business conversations, engagement and audience statistics, and advertising account, campaign, and performance information, subject to permissions and availability provided by Meta. We use this access to manage business content, respond to comments and messages, understand performance, and manage advertising. The integration is configured for 4Sigma business assets; it does not require customers to give us their Facebook or Instagram passwords.

Automation, AI assistance, and service providers

4Sigma uses the Hermes AI assistant to help manage these business accounts. Information relevant to a task, including messages, comments, project details, or performance data, may be processed by the assistant and its configured AI service providers to interpret requests, prepare responses, and perform authorized business actions. AI-generated responses can be inaccurate; you can contact our team directly for clarification or assistance.

We use service providers for website and server hosting, email, booking, analytics, advertising, and AI assistance. These providers may process information needed to deliver their services. Meta also processes information under its own privacy policies. Public posts and comments are visible according to the relevant platform settings. Please avoid sending passwords, payment-card details, or other sensitive information in social media messages.

Analytics and advertising

Our website and business platforms use analytics and advertising tools to understand visits, engagement, consultation requests, and campaign performance. Depending on the tool and your settings, these tools may process device and browser information, page visits, referral or campaign information, cookies, and similar identifiers. You can manage cookies through your browser and advertising preferences through the relevant platform. Blocking some technologies may affect website features.

Retention of business and social media information

Business inquiries, social media information, and assistant conversation records may be stored in our business systems and by the providers that process them. We retain this information as needed to respond to requests, provide services, maintain business records, and meet legal or security obligations. Retention depends on the type of information and its purpose. You may request deletion using the instructions below. Meta and other platforms separately control records held in their own services.

Request access, correction, or deletion

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information handled by 4Sigma, including information processed through 4Sigma Hermes Business, email info@4sigma.us with the subject “Privacy / Data Deletion Request.” You can also call (925) 236-0225. These request channels are available to anyone whose information we process through the integration.

Tell us the email address or Facebook/Instagram username you used to contact us and enough detail to locate the relevant records. Do not send your account password. We may need to verify your identity before providing or deleting information. We will review your request and explain any information that must be retained for legal or security reasons. Deleting records held by 4Sigma does not delete your Facebook or Instagram account or records independently held by Meta; use those platforms’ settings for their own deletion controls.

Contact and policy updates

For privacy questions, contact info@4sigma.us or visit our contact page. We may update this policy as our services change. The date above identifies the latest update.
